Many Cuban Jews during the 1960`s tried to hold on to their businesses and factories until the bitter end, that is, when the Cuban military came in and forced out the former owners at the point of a bayonet. That is what happened to relatives of mine in la Habana. Even though the Venezuelan Jews may send their families out of the country, I suspect that many of the owners and managers will try to hold on to their properties for as long as possible, with the hope that Hugo Chavez will somehow be replaced as leader of Venezuela. Time will tell.
