| The Lebanon war, while conducted ineffectively, taught Hezbollah a lesson. This is evident in the fact that although they were itching to open a second front during the operation in Gaza, they didn`t. The pummeling that Lebanon took during the June 2008 has tied Hezbollah`s hands. Nasrahllah even apologized to the Lebanese after the war. It doesn`t want to have to apologize again. Lesson learned (although it is probably temporary) Hamas, which has a totaliterian hold over Gaza, is not contrained by the same concerns, but I`m sure they have absorbed some of the same lessons. |
