Sounds like a typical banana republic dictatorship: the military censor being in charge of preventing acts of justice against army officers.... Is this the Israel that Israelis and their supporters are so proud of? If the IDF is such a `humane` army then Israeli army officers have nothing to fear and is censorship unnecessary. Why then the organised resistence against anything remotely inquisitive towards the legality of the IDF actions in Gaza? And why doesn`t the government order an independent investigation of itself? And what if there is clear, convincing evidence towards warcrimes, will the Israeli government still protect the criminals? Is there anybody left in Israel who thinks a war crime committed by an Israel officer should be prosecuted? Or did they all flee to Europe and the US? |
