First of all I`d like to mention that I personally would never vote on Geert Wilders. However I will be embarrased if my country undermines one of the pillars of our democracy, the most precious inheritance of our times which is our freedom of speech. I agree that one should accept his responsibility and not abuse this freedom, especially when it involves a member of parliament. I do believe though that the decision to prosecute Geert Wilders is rather political. He is not calling for any violence against muslims. He only questions certains aspects of their religion.
Somehow we reached a point of reverse discrimination. You can say anything about Christians or jews, but oy vey if you say anything about muslims... |
