Obama is in virtually all important ways, the very antithesis of Bush. Still, despite Bush`s religiously clouded thinking (or perhaps to some extent becuase of it), he was able to see Hamas as the terrorist organization that it is. Obama understands that to be true from a rather more lucid and intelligent perspective.
The common thread, and the point that Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Qaida, and their ilk still fail to grasp, is that in a successful, peaceful, prosperous community of nations, there can be no place for this spreading cancer. Even as they imagine themselves to be gaining strength and gaining ground, as they expand their numbers and plot ever more dastardly deeds, they are building the global awareness of them as enemy of humanity and a threat to our very survival as a viable species. It may take more years or more decades, and sadly, more blood spilled, but sooner or later the world will arise to crush once and finally this philosophy and all those who would perpetrate it. |
