Not that old nonsense again about depleted uranium and Gulf War Syndrome? There have been numerous medical studies conducted in several countries, including prolonged follow-up on troops exposed to DU in the Gulf and in the Balkans. Apart from higher concentrations of DU in urine, no other findings linking DU with any disease- I repeat-any disease have been found. The radiation element has proved to be insignificant, too.
If the world health agencies pursue this inquiry, it will only be for obvious political, not health reasons. |
