| Israel has had a nuclear monopoly in the region for several decades. This is likely far longer than was ever envisioned. In that time, Israel has not made a single friend in the region. The only two peace treaty signatories with Israel have to be paid every year by America to keep the peace. Israel has chosen west bank expansion over peace, even though the entire world, including America protested the west bank expansion. Now Israel is crying for help because Iran is "threatening" and poor Israel has no friends. It seems to me that Israel has made some bad choices and wants other nations to pay the penalty.
