It is curious that this issue is still being censored.
Israel probably used no `bombs` with DU in them except for tiny amounts in some `bunker busters` and CBUs.
There may have been use of 20mm and 30mm canon ammunition fired from helicopters which contained DU.
Despite the hysteria of the left, DU is not dangerously radioactive.
U-238 is an alpha emitter and ingestion or inhilation are the only means of serious danger. The residual U-235 in DU is a mild gamma emitter, but of such low quantity as to be insignificant.
The greatest danger from DU is that Uranium is a heavy metal, though no where near as toxic as lead or mercury both of which are common in normal munitions.
Why this message has been censored eludes me. It would seem to counter the loony left`s hysterical claims. |
