" - Yossi Melman Who were the same folks telling us in 2005 that Iran would have a bomb in 2006 or 2007. In fact the estimate creeps back one year, every year. The question is why does the estimate continue to recede at the same rate as time passes? Is reality fooling Israeli Intelligence, or are the intelligence services fooling themselves? Is the whole thing a paranoid rave? Or was this story first written by Graham Greene fifty years ago? Greene, who had worked for MI6 in WW II, wrote a jolly book titled "Our Man in Havana." It is the story of Wormold, the paid informant of the Secret Service who sends his benefactors fantastic information including the diagram of a secret military installation located in the `snow capped mountains` of Cuba. You get what you pay for. |
