| As many see it here in England, Israel`s destruction of Gaza and killing of its civilians was excessive and warrants an investigation. On the face of it and based on reporting here, I would believe that, at the least, extremist elements have infiltrated the IDF and have used the opportunity in Gaza for purposes that could only be considered evil and unwarranted. The English public has thus condemned Israel and the Bush/Cheney duplicity already. However an investigation by Israel on its conduct of the may help mitigate hostile opinion here and set the stage for a renewed peace initiative. |
