| Israel is not a signatory to the Rome Statute so the ICC at the Hague has no jurisdiction over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Some European courts claim universal jurisdiction over war crimes, but the accused would have to set foot in those countries without diplomatic immunity before they could be arrested. The UN Security Council could authorize a special court like the Trial Chamber for the former Yugoslavia, but that hasn`t materialized yet. These so-called "human-rights activists" should file their complaint with the Israeli Supreme Court if they really want to get anywhere. |
