Why would you judge the cost of a tragedy, a massacre, or any other horrific event by comparing it to other horrific events? Is justification a relative value? If I attack someone and leave them with a broken nose can I say `well others have stabbed people and gotten away with it so its not that bad`. I haven`t seen the movie but I`m pretty sure any reasonable response to war would be `this is awful it has to stop` no matter which side you`re on. It just confuses me this defensive deflection of any sort of sadness or sympathy for the innocent victims of a war crime no matter who the perpetrators.
The film sounds like a good piece of work, something to address difficult questions any person should ask themselves, from whichever country they are from - including Palestine, Lebanon, Israel, America, Russia - etc. |
