| Talk about throwing the bull. Israel might feel great after beating up the 98 pound weakling, bu tthat is not going to make it any more likely to pull out of Judea and Samaria. The proposition that having proven it can destroy tens of thousands of homes and kill 500 terrorists is not going to make Israel any more inclined to seek a two state solution. Rather the opposite. Ever since the Six Day War Israel has dreamed of that cheap and easy victory. Though at the time it didn`t seem so cheap or easy. Occupation, the role of the oppressor has not sat well with Israel. It still has not come to admit that it is what it wants. It had better decide what it wants, not fantasize about what it is doing. If it had wanted out of the occupation business in Gaza it would have freed them when it pulled out. It didn`t. Israel just wanted cheap and easy occupation. There is no such thing as a free lunch folks. |
