I´m not sure about this. In effect, Israel has given back land for peace ONE time. That was in Camp David 78 with Egypt. A major reason was the strong pressure from president Carter. But another reason was the shock from the attack on Yom Kippur some years earlier, which had made Israel feel insecure, and doubt that it could be secure purely by military means.
And on the other hand: After 67, when Israel had its most triumphant victory ever, almost NO ONE in Israel spoke about peace or giving back land.
I would be very happy if this prediction turns out to be true. But unfortunately I doubt it. |
