Those weapons are very low velocity and would gain absolutely NOTHING from using depleted uranium. Depleted Uranium is used for several reasons. It has a higher density than tungsten, and is easier to manufacture. The higher density means that a small caliber round, such as a 30mm machine canon round, or a 120mm Armor Piercing Discarding Sabot round will retain it`s inertia longer. They depend upon HIGH VELOCITY to penetrate the armor. The compression and heating of the DU then causes it to ignite, adding an incendiary effect. The Palestinians have no weapons that utilize DU.
