| I am in agreement with Moshe Arens. What Prof. Ferman says is speculation. Yes if the IDF would have used the same tactics there may have been many more deaths, however to use another tactic in the center of the city would succeed. I am sure that Gen. Ashkenazi is certainly aware of that. The military had to use the same Idea of letting all the residents of the center of Gaza know that anybody remaining in the center of Gaza does not have much of a chance of survival and at the same time making this known throughout the world press and governments. Israel knows where the greatest amount of explosives hidden in Gaza is situated. By careful planning a explosve shock wave to do the most extensive damage which would collapse the tunnels and explode all the explosives devices would create an effect for Hamas that they would understand that there is no chance of survival. I was in demolitions and I know this is possible. It would take bombing of a few areas to destroy the Hamas resistance |
