| Haaretz should be commended for the courage in printing David Grossman`s editorial. It should be required reading for everyone with a stake in resolving this conflict - that basically means everyone. I am sad for the sorry state of thinking in Israel. I used to think that the Palestinians needed a "Gandhi" instead of an "Arafat." Now I think the Israeli`s need a "Gandhi" too. It has become a country of delusional, angry, paranoid, self-destructive zealots. It has become a country that has foresaken the moral high road. It is a country where fundamentalist religious zealots (those in favor of the occupation and a "greater Israel" )have dictated Israel`s actions. The results will be disasterous for Israel if it continues on this path. |
