| It is true after the Wansee Conference there was a merging between the Concentration Camps and the Death Camps. However, there is a distinction and Holocaust Scholars much more knowledgable than I do make the distinction between the two. What the Nazis did to the Jewish people, Gypsys, homosexuals and those who were enemies of Germany was dispicable and disgusting and I have no truck with those who deny the Holocaust. But and it is a big but we must ensure that the truth is told consistently. It cannot be twisted changed or made to fit a political ideology to support an argument. Yes there were sub camps at Auschwitz, which I was taught was called Auschwitz Birkenau. No there is no distinction between someone sent straight to the gas chambers from the trains and those who were worked for an average of six weeks before having the same fate. But there is a difference between a concentration camp and a Death camp. |
