| The point is, people like myself can`t understand how a society born in the crucible of oppression and suffering can inflict horrendous social harm on another people and culture. That is the Holocaust contradiction, and the only one worth making. People like myself who stand firmly against anti-Semitism in all its forms stand by shocked and saddened at the brutal, racist policies of Israel and the Zionist machinery -- from all accounts, inflicting so much suffering on the Palestinians that they will simply be destroyed as a culture. That is precisely the shocking resonance of the Holocaust rationale of the Nazis that we don`t understand. |
