There are only three realistic possibilities since Jordan and Egypt have adamantly refused to become involved in the Palestinian Question:
1. The two state solution - if the western countries use sanctions, divestment and boycotts as was done in South Africa this will happen.
2. The one state solution - this will be Israel`s decision - if it refuses to give up the settlements and insists for some kind of control over a new Palestinian state, this option will be put to it. Obviously, this entails the end of a "Jewish" state.
3. The apartheid status quo - there is no possibility that this will be permitted to carry on in the long-term. |
