LOL. Hamas says lots of things; very little of it bears any resemblance to the truth.
This kind of braggadocio is not new. In all their wars with Israel, Arabs have always spun their defeats into "victories." That`s why the Palestinians have never made any progress in sixty years. They are so busy looking backwards and finding a way to make their defeats palatable to them, they are incapable of moving forward.
The Palestine Authority has been existence for twenty years. What have they accomplished? Have they moved people from the refugee camps into homes? No. Have they sought to attract investment capital from overseas? No. Yet they have been the recipient of over 200 billion dollars and over 240 billion euros. With nothing to show for it. Contrast that with Israel`s progress between 1948 and 1968, despite fighting wars, despite having to absorb hundreds of thousands of Jewish refugees.
