He will want to assist in economic development in the West Bank, where such would be sustainable.
On the matter of politics - he would want everyone accountable to the agreements made thus far. That would mean not just an end to the building of further new settlements, but questions about the continuance of settlements that have already been built in breach of the agreement.
In return for success in the one rule of one gun and continued lack of terrorism, the continuance of the security fence on West Bank Palestinian territory and the IDF checkpoints would become an issue.
Every step is one that weakens Hamas and support for their extremism, and without the use of any munitions. |
