| The Arabs and Israel can work it out, if they really wanted to. Syria likes the situation as it is. So does Iran. Neither Egypt nor Jordan want a terorrist state on their doorstep. So, normally they are content to elt Israel police Gaza and the West Bank. Israel itself is fine with the status quo, so long as there is limited or no violence. Thus, there is nothing for Obama to do in a situation like this. Bush realized this fact. Will Obama? |
