| Sometimes when you win you really lose. I don`t know how the Jewish soul will ever recover from this victory. I deeply believe we as a people have lost something in this horrifying war. The IDF made me proud for the way it fought during the intifada, but this was a planned and unopposed crushing of Gaza before Bush leaves office. When did Jews become so callous? When did our hearts harden? I never thought I would live to see the day when the Arabs want peace and the Jews don`t. My dearly beloved Israel, you have broken my heart. May G-d bless and give comfort to Dr. Ezzeldeen Abu al-Aish and the surviving members of his family and please G-d give them the strength to see beyond their grief and anger and continue to work for peace and coexistence so this madness can finally end. |
