What is better a strong Hamas or a weak Hamas is a very strange question.
Hamas was created by Israel to counter the popularity of Late Yasser Arafat, they did a good job toward the population and when elections where proposed won the elections. They did what most palestinians want them to do, run a clean and honost governemnt and that they did. A regretted step not liked by many Hamas immage is destroyed by both Israeli and Fateh camps.
Are Hamas a terorist group or are they the majority of the oppressed Palestinans. The best answer is Hamas gave the population the chance to live with dignity while Israel opted the Palestinians to accept humilation.
So to expect in the comming few months, a stronger Hamas in gaza and a stronger and more militant Fateh in the West Bank. It is inevetable that Israel end its ocupation of Palestine before it is too late for both Israelis and Palestinians. |
