Gideon is quick to tell us how WRONG the government is in its decision to stop the rocket attacks by invading Gaza. Yet, he says nothing about what the government SHOULD have done.
Without telling us that, Gideon is avoiding the REAL question of moral responsibility. So tell us Gideon just how many children IS it acceptable to kill (if necessary) to stop the rocket attacks? 10, 50, 100, 200? Surely you are not suggesting that it is NEVER acceptable to defend oneself if there is ANY risk that an innocent bystander my be injured or killed!? Or are you??? How can we possibly evaluate the value of what you are telling us NOT to do, if you don`t at least tell us what you think we SHOULD do? |
