| It is funny how any Jew/Israeli that criticizes the action of the government and IDF is immediately branded an anti-Israeli/pro-Palestinian/self-hating-Jew/etc. As if Israelis are united in this war. As if all Israelis are united at all. Of course, the polls show that the majority of Israelis support the war; the polls also show that the majority also think that the war wont stop the rocket attacks. Well...what is the point? Revenge? Not to mention all the important questions that are missed when asking "do you support the war?" Does it occur to anybody that while one person may support the war with the hope of a two state solution in the future, someone else might support the war for the simple fact that they hate Arabs. Are these two people--who supposedly "support" the war"--united? do they both "support" Israel in the same way? Surely, they do not; one wants peace and the other wants Arabs driven to the ocean. Yet both wave the flag, own it, as if it represents all Israelis. |
