In Canada we have a similar issue. Quebec separtists have members in our Parliament. Many Canadians are astonished that our law doesn`t simply forbid them from sitting in Parliament. Of course, while the Quebec separtists wish to destroy our current union, they are not seeking to destroy Canada. That is a vital difference.
As to setting up a seperate Arab Parliament, yawn, nice political theatre but meaningless. Any state than cannot enforce its laws and policies isn`t a state and if Parliament is ignored, which a separate Arab Parliament will be, then its a joke.
Lest that the uninformed take liberties with Israel`s ban on Arab parties, the ban is not a ban on Arab Parliamentarians. The ban is on those who seek to destroy the state of Israel. A war is being fought against such people who live outside of the state and people whose goals are the same, but who do not use violence as means, should not be given the priviledges of being Parliamentarians. |
