| In a tiny country like Israel, every injury or death within the IDF affects many people within the population, hence its method of reporting. In fact, even in the UK, every British soldier killed in Iraq or Afghanistan is reported on the news, often as headlines. I do take your point about Omaha. Reporting every injury or death would have been horrendous for morale back home. |
