| Its obvious how Israeli public opinion has a huge effect on policy makers- especially with elections coming up. Therefore, it`s not surprising that the reported number of IDF casualties is kept to a minimum. A high number of casualties will shake the public and the politicians will respond, just like they did in Lebanon- withdraw. The fact that there`s very few journalists in gaza, makes the cover up all the more simpler. |
