| Please listen to these generals. Call it a victory and cease fire. Continued attacks in Gaza will 1) strengthen Hamas in the West Bank and fundamentalists elsewhere; 2) weaken Israel`s global standing; lead to further death of civilians as Hamas continues to hide behind them. All of this for arguably no further military benefit. Just as with Lebanon 2, we had a certain amount of sympathy from much of the world to do what we needed to do. But that sympathy doesn`t include the human catastrophe that is developing in Gaza. No doubt there will be dozens of talkbackers crying for "flattening gaza."
