Yes, war is awful. Yes, there are innocent civilians being horribly maimed and killed. Yes, human psychology is such as to revile this terrible toll. Except, I guess, when Jews are victims. O.K., so there were only 14 or so Jews killed by the rockets & another 10 or so in the war. That`s a "small" number say the critics.
What "intellectual" garbage. Call us pishers, bad dudes and perpetrators of tragedies. I`ll accept that and do so with considerable preference over being victims, yet again, en masse. Historically, we have had much more than our share. Are we oversensitive to mortal danger? Perhaps yes or perhaps no. You take your chances. Not us again.
I`m sorry that many of you don`t have the intellectual and moral mettle to understand that the numbers aren`t pertinent. What is pertinent, morally right and natural, even instinctive, is self defence. For those that are smarter than myself, tell me how Israel could achieve its legitimate goal of self defence in another way. |
