Criticizing Israel does not make one anti-Semite. However to convince me Mr. Erdogan had to demonstrate that his criticism is indeed humanitarian and consistent with his past practices.
Mr. Erdogan welcomed Sudan?s president Omar Al-Bashir [who is considered to be responsible of the genocide in Darfur] 2 times on red carpet in 2007. He also payed a friendly visit to him in Sudan. He never expressed any criticism of Al-Bashir and Sudan for thee crimes against humanity.
Mr. Erdogan had also welcomed Hamas leader Meshal in Ankara but under pressure he did not meat him in person.
Mr. Erdogan whose picture with a teardrop in his eye over the Gaza victims is published in Trkish media today never shed a tear over the children of Sderot killed under Kassams [eg. The 4 year boy and 2 year girl killed in 2004]
Based on that Erdogan has not demonstrated consistence nor sincerity. |
