| As the IDF Attack Snail slowly moves on Gaza City the leaders of Hamas have to know that the Government of Israel is desperate to keep casualties low, and wants the war over well before the elections. Thus it is in the interest of Hamas to be VERY choosy over what terms it will accept. Hamas can see the rate of advance, the growing world concern, and the fact that February is coming on a lot faster than the IDF. So why should they not take advantage of the position their enemy has put itself in? It isn`t that Israel can`t win this war. Rather the politicians are not willing to pay the cost of winning the war. That signal has been sent to Hamas very clearly. So all they have to do is delay as long as possible. . . |
