| Israel has imprisoned 1,000 Palestinians without charge to be used as bargaining chips. This is frankly admitted by the security forces and the leadership. Hamas` attempts to capture soldiers to use as bargaining chips should therefore come as no surprise. In addition about 9,000 Palestinians removed from occupied territory into Israeli prisons (removal is illegal under international law, even if charged, tried, and convicted). |
