Back in December smugly beating it`s drums, Israel gloated over how it fooled everyone - including it`s allies - by pretending to a cease fire and starting a war.
Now, going on three weeks later, the war is stalled, Hamas has not been crushed and Israel does not appear willing to pay the price of crushing Hamas. A bad turn of events in a war which the politicians promised to destroy Hamas.
All Hamas need do at this point to win is not be destroyed and lob a few rockets over the border every day to prove it.
The longer this fiasco goes on, the more it resembles the Second Lebanon War.
The IDF learned from that war, so did Hamas, but Israel`s politicians learned nothing. |
