| Unless the IDF takes the Philadelphi route, and clears the tunnels there will be no reduction in smugling weapons and ammo. They will build a wide underground highway--much easier thanthe Chunnel or tunnels through the Alps. It takes labor and engineering skill. the Palestinians have both in great supply. There will be no stopping Hamas from manufacturing weapons in the Gaza shops. Shops will be underground impervious to bombing from the air. They will launch misiles from underground silos. In short they can and will make life in Israel unlivable. The only viable solution is to evacuate the population of the entire `strip`. A humane solution is to move them to temporary camps in the Negev. In this way Israel can sort out the `innocent civilians" from the `militants` and also control them Israel must then demand UN support to immmigrate to any of the 57 muslim nations or Europe if they will have them. The lesson is there staring you in the face |
