| "Hamas regrets the day they decided to intensify the rocket fire on Israel under the assumption that we would show restraint." Israel was starving the people of Gaza to death. Why would you expect Hamas to extend and enforce the ceasefire? When this is all over, the Starvation Blockade will be lifted - the international community, including Barack Obama`s America, will ensure that. Hamas will have won their two prime objectives - survival and food for the people, at a terrible price in human life. Israel will have gained nothing at all, other than an international reputation for callous indifference to civilian casualties.
