I pointed out that Egypt - rightly - objects to any proposal that demands that it cede to foreign troops the task of securing its own territory.
That is all I said, and all I referred to.

A statement by someone who has obviously never read the 2005 Agreement on Access and Movement.
Reid, sunshine, the 2005 AMA makes clear that EGYPT is responsible for security on the EGYPTIAN side of the border.
Not Irael. Not NATO. Not the USA.
EGYPT is.
My original comment therefore has *nothing* to do with the AMA and, therefore, you can not claim that my post is in any way suggests that I oppose that 2005 agreement. |
