| Morris, you know that there were indications that Hamas was moving towards dialogue and probably accepting the coexistence with Israel. In the end, Israel should have permitted this possibility to give them a chance. But of course Hamas is misguided and lacks moral responsibility for their civilian population. They don`t want to stop. Look how they said there should be cemetaries prepared for Israeli soldiers, and meanwhile, they are burying the Palestinian people. But I also think that Israel has been embroiled into their modus operandi. And the ironic thing is that the PA was anyways negotiating with Israel for a Palestinian state which would be demilitarized anyways in the future, so the weaponary hording and going to battle with Israel contravenes their ultimate goal for the Palestinians, which is a demilitarized Palestinian state. I say bring in the international monitors for Gaza`s borders, eventually open borders and agree to a long-term ceasefire. |
