| Haven`t we had enough experience to know that terrorists like their jobs, and are psychologically reinforced by causing death and destruction? All estimates of their responses to our moves must proceed from this basic premise. They will not behave as we would like them to behave, nor should we expect them to act in a rational fashion that we believe is in their own interest, or that of their people. Either we must kill them, or embolden the good people amongst their population to kill or control them. Anything other solution is just a pipe dream. |
