| You have so accurately represented the particular psychosis of Israeli Jewish society - we want to be able to kill in the most horrendous way and still feel good about ourselves. So much effort put into books, newspaper articles, even movies (e.g. `Waltz with Bashir`) with the underlying message " We are nice Jewish boys (and girls) forced to do terrible things". The latest round of brutality in Gaza is not an aberration, nor is it something we have been compelled to do, but part of an ongoing logic of self-righteous violence. Please Gideon don`t give up the fight to open the eyes of Israelis to the wickedness that we are daily involved in. |
