Gideon, I suggest you equivocally call upon both Israel and Hamas to assume responsibility for the atrocities in Gaza and to suffer qualms of conscience. Hamas is now rejecting a ceasefire and prefers that the war continue because retaining their ability to import more weapons so that they can rearm and resume hostilities is more important to them than stopping and preventing more of their people from being killed.
I suffer great qualms of conscience for dead civilians in Gaza, and don?t expect to come out looking good, because no one comes out of any war looking good. Will the Hamas officers who carry children in their arms to shield themselves from gunfire experience qualms of conscience for using their children?s homes and schools as military installations, and for prolonging the conflict? |
