| Whenever Israel escalates strikes against a territory it already occupies and blockades illegally,the government I am ashamed to be a citizen of endorses it`s support for an attempt to crush resistance in any form by those occupied, disregarding the plight of those in the besieged area, no matter the relative ineffectiveness of resistance. It makes little difference whether the resolution that passes is binding or not. Support for Israel is already expressed directly by U.S. military, and tacitly by it`s political elite. They only care for a bond with Israel, and it`s inalienable right of defense, but little or nothing for the right of those in an occupied land to defend themselves. A concern for the right of the occupied to defend themselves has not begun as yet. |
