| What this article doesn`t reveal is the number of Jews across Europe who are appalled by the actions of Israel in Gaza. Such people have been out in force in the recent demonstrations across the continent calling for an end to the violence (on both sides). I think it is fair to say that many of us see the IDF operation as completely anti-thetical to the core principles of Judaism. We are shocked and appalled that so much innocent life is being casually extinguished for a short-term illusion of `victory` when, in the long-run, we are only stoking the fires of hatred still further. |
