The goal is to force the int`l community to become complicit in the Israeli blockade of Gaza.

The chosen method is for Israel to let loose the IDF to blaze away with everything it has got, and then to tell the world that they will keep up this fire unless the Europeans / USA / Turks / Whoever agree to send a military force to shut down the Egypt/Gaza border to smuggling.

Then the IDF will withdraw, the siege of Gaza can continue, and nobody will dare critize Israel because everyone will have already agreed to become complicit in that siege.

Or, in short: extortion as foreign policy.

That`s Israel`s goal, kom: for Barak etc. to act like East End standover merchants, leaning on the Pals in order to extort a payoff from the rest of the world.

It`s what passes for "statescraft" amongst the zionists.
