Israel has tried for peace many times since 1948. It has given back oil rich Sinai to Egypt for a lasting peace. It accepted the Clinton parameters that would have created an independent Palestinian Arab state 7 years ago. Unilaterally pulled out from Gaza. Israel tolerated the rockets without any real retaliation for a long time. But there is a limit to patience.
Although I am not happy about this bloodshed I cannot put all the blame in Israel,. Hamas is the root cause and should bare the primary responsibility for it. |
