Both tragic accidents, and intentional acts, endanger civilians and UN personnel in Gaza.
The UN is spending much effort to publicize Israeli actions, yet gives only lip service to Hamas` use of civilians and UN `safe havens` to launch indiscriminate attacks against Israeli civilians, and to target IDF troops.
Presumably, Hamas ensures that any even-handed UN personnel wouldn`t be welcome. The international cimmunity, if truly interested in protecting civilians, must be forthright about Hamas` use of its good offices. |
