3-Con`d...Do you not remember how the impoverished and resource less Turkey opened up her land to the Jewish Agency (JA) during WWII making the JA`s operation in Turkey the MOST ACTIVE n the world in helping rescue hundreds of thousands of Jews when no one else would and by resisting TREMENDOUS pressure from Churchill?s England?
How can you forget what Turkish Ambassador to France (1939-1943) Behic Erkin helped save 18,800 Jews by risking his life and the neutrality of his country without asking anything in return and simply because he thought it was wrong to turn his back to the plight of innocent people persecuted simply because of their faith?
Turkey/Turks did this for centuries-in fact Ottomans (whom you call the sick man of Europe due to centuries of outside intervention) opened their lands to people of all faiths/cultures for centuries when the Europeans were killing/forcing their cultures/religious believes upon people all over the world (see Africa, Latin America...etc) |
