| How naive can you be... Just like Hamas is the Gaza branch, Erdogan`s party AKP is itself the Turkish branch of the Muslim Brotherhood movement! The only difference is that, as opposed to Hamas, AKP belongs to the "legal" wing of the Islamist movement which plays by the rules and doesn`t use militant methods on the way to establishing Sharia government. There is such a "legal" wing in Egypt as well. Erdogan is known to have said: "Democracy is like a tramway, when you reach your destination (i.e., Sharia government), you get off." In another speech - available through memri.org - referring to secular electoral democracy, he said: "Sovereignty doesn`t belong to the people, sovereignty belongs to Allah!", referring to Sharia law versus secular elections. Erdogan is 100% Hamas inside, so don`t be fooled with what he claims to be on the outside... Especially when some of his utterings like this one, reveal his true identity! |
